About the Program
The SR Apprenticeship program invites diverse voices, welcomes fresh minds, and encourages eager learners from City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) to be part of our thriving environment. The goal is to open an opportunity that will support the development of well-trained professionals with a solid foundation of sponsored research knowledge, positioning them to be attractive candidates for permanent full-time roles at the completion of their 1-year apprenticeship.
The SR Apprenticeship program is a new partnership with the City Colleges of Chicago’s Economic & Workforce Innovation Department. We are excited that CCC has decided to partner with us to develop a new talent pipeline for research administration and are thrilled to welcome our inaugural apprentices:

Our inaugural CCC Apprentices joined Sponsored Research in January 2023.
Jesus Guerrero
SR's Awards Management team welcomed Jesus Guerrero as an Award Management Associate Apprentice. Jesus is in his second year at the Wilbur Wright College campus majoring in Marketing/Management.
Jack Jeffries
The Subcontracts Management team welcomed Jack Jeffries as Assistant Sponsored Research Officer Apprentice. Jack is in his second year at the Harry S. Truman College campus majoring in Communication. In July 2023, Jack was hired as an Award Management Associate on SR's Awards Management Team.
