FY2025 Fringe Benefit Rates Announced
New Fringe Benefit Rates are effective September 1, 2024. All new proposals should utilize the new fringe benefit rates effective immediately and until further notice. Note: The new rate agreement (dated 07/17/2024) does not provide provisional rates for FY2026 and beyond that are different from the fixed rates for FY2025. Therefore, use the current fringe benefit rate for all years of the budget. Visit the Sponsored Research website for more information about fringe benefits.

Updating Proposals in Progress in CERES
The updated fringe benefit rates and agreement date have been populated into CERES.
To adjust the personnel budget on proposals already in progress: in the Budget smartform, go to Personnel Costs, and click Edit on any personnel who need updates. This will show the currently applied fringe rate and allow you to change it.
The updated rate agreement date can be edited directly in the SF424 forms, or you can use the Create-Update SF424 activity to send updated data to SF424 forms. If you have not already created the forms, the updated data will be included on any forms created in the future.
If you have system-related issues, submit a help request to the SR Business Systems & Operations Team.
