NSPM-33 Implementation: Disclosures, Standardization, and "For Comment" Forms
October 10, 2022
Over the past several months, the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) Research Security Subcommittee has worked to develop consistent disclosure requirements and proposed common disclosure forms for the Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending (Other) Support sections of a research application. On behalf of the NSTC, the National Science Foundation (NSF) has agreed to serve as steward for the “For Comment” forms as well as for the table entitled, NSPM-33 Implementation Guidance Pre- and Post-award Disclosures Relating to the Biographical Sketch and Current and Pending (Other) Support.
“For Comment” Forms and Feedback
Available on the NSF website for review and comment are:
- A proposed common biographical sketch form;
- A proposed common current and pending (other) support form; and
- An excel spreadsheet that summarizes all the data elements, as well as their data attributes.
Note that these forms are not NSF-specific, and the intention is that common forms will be used across the Federal government by funding agencies. Public comments are due by October 31, 2022. Written comments on these documents should be mailed to: Suzanne H. Plimpton, Reports Clearance Officer, National Science Foundation, 2415 Eisenhower Avenue, Suite E7400, Alexandria, Virginia 22314 or emailed to splimpto@nsf.gov.
Additional Information
The Council on Government Relations (COGR) will be analyzing the forms and impact to grant recipients. COGR has developed a Science and Security webpage to provide resources and analysis to assist institutions in navigating requirements in this area.
