New CERES Cognos Reports

New Grants and Agreements reports and self-service reporting are now available in Cognos. CERES reports are located in a new Grants and Agreements folder in Cognos.

Use the Infoed - CERES Reports Crossmap to cross-reference InfoEd reports with new CERES Cognos reports.
Outlined below are descriptions of all new CERES reports. Please see the Northwestern IT KB article, "InfoEd & CERES Report Inventory" for screenshots, prompt options, and other details on the reports.

Proposals (GA100 series)

GA101 - Proposal Detail

This report provides a detailed list of proposals selected by user specified proposal submit date and other criteria. Report includes only proposals that are in the following states: Pending Sponsor Review, Pending Sponsor Review Award Anticipated, Award Notification Received, Awarded, Not Funded, Withdrawn from Sponsor, JIT Response Required, Proposal Status Confirmation. Continuations are not included in the report. It can be run as a standalone report and is also available as a drill-down from the Proposal Summary (GA102, 103, 104) reports.

GA102 - Proposal Summary by Department

This report provides a summary of proposals by financial department selected by user specified proposal submit date and other criteria. Report includes only proposals that are in the following states: Pending Sponsor Review, Pending Sponsor Review Award Anticipated, Award Notification Received, Awarded, Not Funded, Withdrawn from Sponsor, JIT Response Required, Proposal Status Confirmation. Continuations are not included in the report. It also provides a drill through to the GA101 – Proposal Detail report.

GA103 - Proposal Summary by PI

This report provides a summary of proposals by PI, financial department and prime sponsor selected by user specified proposal submit date and other criteria. Report includes only proposals that are in the following states: Pending Sponsor Review, Pending Sponsor Review Award Anticipated, Award Notification Received, Awarded, Not Funded, Withdrawn from Sponsor, JIT Response Required, Proposal Status Confirmation. Continuations are not included in the report. It also provides a drill-through to the GA101 - Proposal Detail report.

GA104 - Proposal Summary by Sponsor

This report provides a summary of proposals by prime sponsor selected by user specified proposal submit date and other criteria. Report includes only proposals that are in the following states: Pending Sponsor Review, Pending Sponsor Review Award Anticipated, Award Notification Received, Awarded, Not Funded, Withdrawn from Sponsor, JIT Response Required, Proposal Status Confirmation. Continuations are not included in the report. It also provides a drill-through to the GA101 - Proposal Detail report.

Awards (GA200 series)

GA201- Award Allocation Detail

This report provides a detailed list of authorized, non cost-share award allocations selected by user specified allocation reporting date and other criteria. Report includes only awards that are in Active, Completed, Transferred Out, and Terminated states. It can be run as a stand-alone report and is also available as a drill-down from the Award Summary (GA202, 203, 204) reports.

GA202 - Award Allocation Summary by Department

This report provides a summary of authorized, non cost-share award allocations by financial department selected by user specified allocation reporting date and other criteria. Report includes only awards that are in Active, Completed, Transferred Out, and Terminated states. It also provides a drill-through to the GA201 - Award Allocation Detail report.

GA203 - Award Allocation Summary by PI

This report provides a summary of authorized, non cost-share award allocations by PI, financial department and prime sponsor selected by user specified allocation reporting date and other criteria. Report includes only awards that are in Active, Completed, Transferred Out, and Terminated states. It also provides a drill-through to the GA201 - Award Allocation Detail report.

GA204 - Award Allocation Summary by Sponsor

This report provides a summary of authorized, non cost-share award allocations by prime sponsor selected by user specified allocation reporting date and other criteria. Report includes only awards that are in Active, Completed, Transferred Out, and Terminated states. It also provides a drill-through to the GA201 - Award Allocation Detail report.

Agreements (GA300 series)

Historical data is still in the process of conversion for the below reports and should be available within a few weeks of go-live. Users will be notified once the historical data is available in the GA300 series reports.

GA301 - Agreement Detail

This report provides a detailed list of agreements and amendments selected by user specified criteria. Report can be run by a variety of criteria including dates, states, PI, negotiator/owner, primary contact etc. It can be run as a stand-alone report and is also available as a drill-down from the Agreement Summary reports.

GA302 - Agreement Summary by Department

This report provides a summary by financial department of agreements and amendments selected by user specified criteria. Report can be run by a variety of criteria including dates, states, PI, negotiator/owner, primary contact etc. It also provides a drill-through to the GA301 - Agreement Detail report.

GA303 - Agreement Summary by PI

This report provides a summary by PI, negotiator, primary contact and financial department of agreements and amendments selected by user specified criteria. Report can be run by a variety of criteria including dates, states, PI, negotiator/owner, primary contact etc. It also provides a drill-through to the GA301 - Agreement Detail report.

GA304 - Agreement Summary by Agreement Type

This report provides a summary by agreement type, negotiator and primary contact of agreements and amendments selected by user specified criteria. Report can be run by a variety of criteria including dates, states, PI, negotiator/owner, primary contact etc. It also provides a drill-through to the GA301 - Agreement Detail report.

Current, Pending, Completed Support (GA400 series)

GA401 - Current Awards - All Roles

This report provides a list of all active awards (where the user selected date falls within the Award Start Date and Award End Date) for the specified investigator(s) and includes their committed effort and role data. Investigators who do not have any committed effort on an award are also included in the report (with blank effort data). Report includes only awards that are in Active state.

GA402 - Pending Proposals - All Roles

This report provides a list of all pending proposals (whose Submit Date falls within the specified date range) for the specified investigator(s) and includes their proposed effort and role data. Investigators who do not have any proposed effort on a proposal are also included in the report (with blank effort data). Report includes only proposals that are in Pending Sponsor Review, Awaiting Response from Federal Sponsor, JIT Response Required, Submitted to Industry Sponsor and Proposal Status Confirmation states. Proposals of type Letter of Intent, Preliminary and Continuations are not included in the report.

GA403 - Completed Awards - All Roles

This report provides a list of all completed awards (whose Award End Date falls within the specified date range) for the specified investigator(s) and includes their role(s) on the awards. Report includes only awards that are in Active, Completed, Transferred Out and Terminated states.

Subcontracts & Effort (No change to report numbers)

GM092 - Subcontract Monitoring Report

This report presents a summary of executed subcontract amounts and subcontract expenditures per award, project, and subcontract. It will combine data from CERES and NUFinancials. Note that the structure of this report has not changed from the previous version, it has just been updated to connect to CERES data.

ER001 - Committed and Certified Effort

This report shows information about “effort”, the work researchers do on sponsored research projects. The report includes committed and certified effort and may be run for a set of employees, projects, or departments. Note that the structure of this report has not changed from the previous version, it has just been updated to connect to CERES data.
